Mayor Coleman Appoints Jeffrey
D. Porter As a Member of the Columbus Civil Service Commission

The
law firm of Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter is proud to announce
that Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman has appointed attorney Jeffrey
D. Porter as a member of the Columbus Civil Service Commission.
Porter will serve a term that will expire January 31, 2010. The
Civil Service Commission is committed to providing a quality work
force for the City of Columbus based upon merit system principles.
Porter, an Associate with Kegler Brown, graduated from Capital University
Law School in 1996 and has been practicing law for more than 11
years. A former Assistant City Attorney for the City of Columbus
from 1997-2002, Porter’s law practice now focuses on creditors’
rights and bankruptcy issues, zoning, liquor and other administrative
law matters. He is a resident of the City of Columbus and contributes
his time to the Central Ohio community by serving as a member of
the Young Leadership Group for United Way of Central Ohio and by
volunteering for the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Central Ohio.
