Kegler Brown is proud to announce the addition of Eric B. Travers. Hired as an associate, Travers will focus on construction and litigation at Kegler Brown. The addition of Travers marks continued growth in the firm's construction practice.
Travers has represented subcontractors, owners, municipalities, general contractors and sureties before courts and arbitration panels in a number of states regarding disputes about a wide range of construction issues, including mechanics' liens, acceleration claims, changes, defects, delay claims, liquidated damages, OSHA violations and payment bond claims. He has worked on matters involving federal and private construction projects, condominiums, wastewater treatment plants, army barracks, airport projects and concessions, federal office construction, as well as precedent setting decisions in Massachusetts, Maryland, and Virginia state and federal courts.
In addition, Travers has presented and co-presented construction law seminars across the country for various industry trade associations, including the American Subcontractors Association and the National Electrical Contractors Association, and has written numerous published articles on construction topics for a variety of industry publications.
Prior to joining Kegler Brown, Travers practiced in Washington, D.C. He holds a law degree from the George Washington University Law School, in Washington, D.C., and an undergraduate degree from Lake Forest College, in Lake Forest, Illinois.
