Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 adds new Medicare Secondary Payer reporting requirements for workers' compensation (self-insured employers), liability insurance (including self-insurance), no-fault insurance and group health plans, known as "responsible reporting entities" or "RREs". So what does this mean for you and your business? In a nutshell, those entities will be required to provide quarterly reports to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service (CMS) regarding claims where the injured party is or was a Medicare beneficiary.
Companies must act quickly! So before CMS registration begins on May 1, join us for this free seminar and learn how these new regulations will affect your business and how to avoid the hefty fines (as high as $1000 per day per claim!) you'll face if you fail to comply.
A continental breakfast, compliments of Kegler Brown, will be served. There is no cost to attend this seminar. The breakfast briefings will be held in the Conference Center of Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter. View directions to our office.
