Bahrain has become a very attractive option for investment in the Middle East because of its extremely business-friendly tax code, free trade agreements and location as an ideal entry point to access the entire region. Nathan Regan, country manager for Bahrain’s Economic Development Board in the United States, will discuss the existing business opportunities in Bahrain, why the Middle East should be part of your business growth strategy and the benefits of doing business in Bahrain. Nathan ReganNathan Regan – Country Manager USA
Mr. Regan currently serves as the Country Manager for the Bahrain Economic Development Board in the United States under the auspices of the Crown Prince of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa out of the Embassy of Bahrain in Washington DC.

Prior to joining the Bahrain Economic Development Board, Nathan served at a Senior International Trade Specialist with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in their office in Atlanta, Georgia focusing on export promotion activities as well as Foreign Direct Investment. During his tenure with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was selected for the first round of the Vitus Program designated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to increase global exports for Danish SME’s. Additionally, he led trade delegations from Denmark to the United States and worked with companies on site selection and creation of U.S. subsidiaries.

Nathan has also served as a Commercial Attaché for Industrial Goods with the French Foreign Ministry where he specialized in Technical Textiles as well as the aerospace industry. He has also worked for the French Manufacturing giant SAGEM as part of their global automotive division as well as the Austrian manufacturer EYBL as part of their North American automotive supply program.

Nathan speaks French, Spanish, German and some Danish. He’s from Greenville, South Carolina and attended Furman University.
