Efforts to Simplify Ohio’s Stream and Wetland Permitting Affect Central Ohio Development

Published in the July/August issue of Building Insider, the official publication of the Building Industry Association of Central Ohio (BIA), Scott Doran’s article looks at the Ohio EPA’s Section 401 Certification program, which permits projects to fill streams or wetlands. Projects, especially residential construction, located in watersheds of high quality streams must follow new permitting requirements set forth by this program, issued on March 17, 2017, which should feature prominently in Central Ohio since it has a number of high quality streams.
