Jonathan offers his clients an immense amount of experience gained from 16 years as Ohio’s Disciplinary Counsel, as well as his service on the Supreme Court Task Force to adopt the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct and the Supreme Court Task Force to amend the Ohio Judicial Canons. His unique perspective comes from investigating and litigating hundreds of attorney and judicial misconduct cases in Ohio. Jonathan’s experience with the investigation and prosecution of attorney and judicial misconduct cases, with grievance committees throughout the state and service on the Supreme Court Task Force to review the Ohio disciplinary process establishes his unparalleled experience in the field of attorney and judicial misconduct in Ohio. Serving four terms as Disciplinary Counsel for the Supreme Court of Ohio, Jonathan is held in high regard by experienced practitioners on both sides of the disciplinary process and by members of the bench. His 16-year tenure as Disciplinary Counsel is the longest in Ohio history and provides exceptional insight into the process for his clients.
Jonathan has developed an intimate understanding of the disciplinary system and uses that knowledge and experience to best serve his clients facing disciplinary action. As Disciplinary Counsel, Jonathan handled his own caseload and, on an annual basis, was responsible for approximately 2800 grievances, 1400 investigations and 45 formal complaints. His experience includes the prosecution of numerous attorney and judicial misconduct cases and involves multiple arguments before the Supreme Court of Ohio.
