Arts + Culture
The Places Almanac calls Columbus “one of the nation’s best metro areas for the arts,” and we couldn’t agree more. Here, take in a touring Broadway show at the historic Ohio or Palace Theatres, catch a Shakespeare play at Schiller Park, enjoy outdoor music with Picnic at the Pops, or see screenings of the latest foreign films at The Wexner Center for the Arts.
You can attend the ballet and opera, or catch some of the country’s hottest jazz talent at the annual Jazz and Rib Fest. Discover Monet at the Columbus Museum of Art or Dinosaurs at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI). Whatever you most enjoy-theatre, music, museums, dance, galleries, festivals-you'll find it here.
Entertainment
You’d be hard pressed to find someone who didn't find their kind of entertainment in Columbus. Whether your idea of a good time is a night on the town or a day at the game, we’ve got the restaurants, the shopping, the sports, the nightlife, and the outdoor venues to make everybody happy.
Recreation
Columbus is a great place for people who love to get out there and participate. From golf to cycling, skating to skiing, swimming to trail running, you'll find the courses, trails, gyms, parks, rinks, courts and pools you need to get out and get going. You'll also find like-minded individuals who share your passion.
With more park space per capita than any other U.S. city, it's hard not to find a spot to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. From our Metro Parks, which cover more than 23,000 acres of land and offer an array of programs, to our beautiful city park system, if green space is something you crave, you won't have to go far to find it.
