In 2009, Kegler Brown established its Annual Giving Initiative to formalize its commitment to charitable causes focused on our local communities. Each year, we endow a significant donation to benefit a cause we care about. We invite you to click on the media below, learn more about some of the causes that matter to us and join our firm in supporting their missions.
Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana has granted over 15,000 wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions since 1983. Granting wishes fills kids with hope, strength, and joy. It helps recharge their fighting spirit and think about the future, delivering hope right now to the kids, their families, and the communities they live in.
The Salvation Army of Central Ohio’s Holiday Cheer program provides food and gifts to more than 6,000 families in need each holiday season. This program has been operating for decades and is the largest holiday distribution program of food and gifts in central Ohio.
The Columbus Center for Human Services promotes positive community roles for individuals with disabilities. Our friends at the CCHS deliver an extraordinary experience for its wheelchair-bound stakeholders by greatly expanding access to its most popular program- the Sensory Room.
Heart of the City Foundation provides free support for essential services through a variety of initiatives. One such service, Manna Café, provides meals for more than 9,000 people in need each year- nearly all of them are homeless. A safe haven that welcomes all, Manna Café embodies the mission of Heart of the City Foundation and we were honored to partner with them.
The South Side Learning + Development Center has been serving families in Franklin County for nearly 80 years. Early childhood development services are offered to families with a real need for child care, especially for children whose parents are in training for full-time employment. Their mission is critical and their people are incredible.
One of the most well-known charitable causes in Central Ohio, Pilot Dogs has become synonymous with the vibrant Columbus non-profit scene. The good people at this charity provide service animals to nearly 200 visually impaired individuals every year. In fact, our puppy, KB, is probably out on a walk with someone right now.
Few causes hit as close to home for our firm as CASA of Franklin County. These court-appointed special advocates serve the most at-risk and severe cases of child abuse and neglect in the community. CASA's vision is to ensure that every abused and neglected child has a powerful and consistent voice in court; our mission is to continue supporting this great cause.
Because lifelong learning is critical to our community's future, Kegler Brown's first annual donation was given to the Columbus Metropolitan Library in support of its nationally acclaimed summer reading program. Our community has a vested interest in the success of our most valued learning centers and we were honored to play a small part for the library.
